BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!
Does anyone else get so busy that they forget to breathe?
That is how I have felt over the past couple of weeks.
I have gotten so busy that I forgot to look at all the beauty around me
and appreciate the small wonders that are there everyday.
Shame on me!
By forgetting to appreciate the wonder I have let myself down.
I don’t think I let anyone else down but I know that I am disappointed
in myself for not hitting targets for myself.
Can I do better?
Yes I can.
Will I do better?
Yes I will.
The question then becomes, what can I change about what I am doing
to avoid what happened over the past two weeks?
I can learn to say no.
It might not sound like much of a change but learning when to say
no is a very important skill.
It requires thought and a level of awareness about your own time and
I allowed other people in my life to monopolize my time.
It was not that there needs were not important.
It was that it took time away from tasks that were more important.
So how do I say no too another persons needs and keep my needs
foremost without hurting others?
And there is the real question.
My friends have always been able to rely on me when trouble
comes their way.
I never say no when a friend comes to me for help.
But what about when I need help of one sort or another.
Most of my friends disappear.
Does that mean I have terrible friends?
Maybe, maybe not.
Who is to say.
I know that I have a couple out there who would do anything to help
me regardless of the circumstances but the rest will help when it fits
their time tables.
I am very appreciative of the few who will throw themselves in front of
the train for me.
I am grateful to be able to share time with them when I can.
I am learning to say no to the right people at the right time and put
more energy towards myself.
Hard work it is!
