Bacon Wrapped Pork Loin

One of my favourite BBQ recipes.

It is simple and delicious and smells fantastic!

I usually make two at a time so we can have leftovers.

Here we go!

2 pork loins

1 package of bacon

Salt and pepper to taste

BBQ Sauce (whatever one you enjoy)

Onion powder to taste

Split the pork loin down the centre length wise, not all the way through but just to flatten it out.

Sprinkle with salt, pepper and onion powder.

Coat with a thin layer of BBQ sauce.

Fold together again.

Wrap bacon tightly around the full length of the pork loin

including the ends.

Place on aluminum foil folded into a trough.

Keep the top uncovered.

Spread BBQ sauce over whole pork loin.

BBQ at about 400 degrees.

It takes 45-60 minutes to cook.

Turn as often as needed.

Use more BBQ sauce if you need to.

We usually pair this with roasted potatoes and grilled veggies.

Let it sit 10 minutes before slicing to really let the flavours work

through the whole pork loin.

This is a family favourite and it is fantastic for a fall BBQ.

This recipe can also be done in the oven by raising the temperature to

425 degrees.

Keep a close eye on it if you are doing it in the oven.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

When I perfect my own BBQ sauce I will share it with you but until

then try and buy the healthiest BBQ sauce you can find.

To your health!
